We already have the prices for the BMW Z4, and as expected, it's not cheap

The vast majority of people who enjoy driving are usually faithful followers of the roadster concept. This type of cars are characterized in most cases by being light, two-seater, with contained dimensions, rear propulsion and, above all, convertibles. In addition, its price is usually not very high; although there are always exceptions ...

For many years we have been waiting for the generational change of the BMW Z4 , one of the most desired and longed for two-seater cabriolets; even more since we were aware of the partnership with Toyota to jointly develop the BMW Z4 and the new Toyota Supra. A few months ago the brand revealed it, later reporting the initial versions. It was missing its price, which today has been revealed , but the news is not good. Not affordable.

The Spanish dealer network has opened its orders for this two-seater sports car a few hours ago, expecting to deliver the first units from March in 2019. It is true that the BMW Z4 is quite good equipped, with much technology inherited from superior models and powerful engines, but even so, its price seems very high. And it is that, hold on, part of the 48.900 euros .

As you can see in the board that we have left just above, the sDrive20i version of the Z4, with 197 hp, starts at almost 50,000 euros. The next step, whose variant receives the name sDrive30i , offers 258 CV in exchange for 56,300 euros. The most serviceable and desired, the M40i , with no less than 340 HP, starts at 70,750 euros.

The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 , which yields 390 CV and that is not exactly cheap, part of the 69,225 euros. For little money more than the BMW Z4 M40i is worth, for 4,689 euros more to be exact, we can get a Porsche 718 Boxster S, which yields 350 hp and, at least to me, I think much more attractive, stately, elegant and dynamic than his compatriot BMW.
