The Polestar 2 is already a reality and is nailed to the Volvo Concept 40.2

Well, the date has arrived and the new Swedish brand has not disappointed, as it has released the information of its new offspring. Thanks to these snapshots of Polestar 2 , they have managed to keep our attention, because Volvo and Geely play a lot. As such, as the elders of my land would say, the designers of the brand have not lacked epiploies, because they have created a very original product. So much so, that they have been directly inspired by the lines that the Volvo Concept 40.2 we already knew about three years ago.

Intrepid design, for a breakthrough model

For those who do not know, the Concep 40.2 It arrived in 2016 to show the future models of Volvo. Over time, we realized that the new XC40 was a copy of the Concept 40.1 , so it was only a matter of time before the same thing happened with his brother. Well, that's the way it was, because to design the Polestar 2 the experts of the brand have taken the same base and updated it.

The side view is where most originality we find. The Polestar 2 is a modern saloon that has gone to the fastback world. The body height, waist line, bonnet, wheel arches and boot lid remind us of the failed BMW 3 Series GT . However, Polestar has provided him with some lines of tension that improve the visual sensation. In addition, it has a pillar "C" and a roofline, increasing the agility.

The latest Volvo are developed on the modern modular platform CMA . In this way, the Polestar 2 was not going to be an exception, offering the best of this base. Thanks to it, it has a powertrain consisting of two electric motors and a battery with 78 kWh of capacity. Thanks to it, you can travel with a full load a distance of 500 kilometers (according to the WLTP test cycle).

Taking advantage of the fact that its motor system has two motors, the Polestar 2 enjoys traction total .
